Srinagar, Aug 24: Police in Kulgam today said to have arrested a notorious drug peddler identified as Reyaz Ahmad Dar son of Ghulam Mohammad Dar resident of Churat Qazigund who was evading his arrest for a long time.
Acting swiftly on specific information regarding his presence, a special team from PS Qazigund headed by SHO PS Qazigund under the supervision of SDPO Qazigund Govind Rattan raided the specified location and arrested the said absconder.
As per police records, he was the mastermind of the drug mafia along NHW in the Qazigund area and was wanted for his involvement in cases vide FIR Nos. 171/2008, 227/2014, 208/2016, 209/2016, 161/2021 and 172/2021 of Police Station Qazigund registered against him.
