KULGAM, July 10: To strengthen security along the Shri Amarnath Yatra route, Jammu and Kashmir Police in Kulgam have installed Geo-Fencing Surveillance Systems and Facial Recognition Systems (FRS) on the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway and nearby areas.
These high-tech systems have been put in place to ensure round-the-clock monitoring and real-time response.

The Geo-Fencing setup creates virtual boundaries to detect any unauthorized or suspicious movements, while the FRS helps identify individuals based on pre-recorded data and alerts the authorities about possible threats.
Officials said these upgrades are part of a larger plan to improve crowd control, respond quickly to incidents, and prevent any security risks during the yatra.
Jammu and Kashmir Police have assured that all necessary measures are being taken to maintain peace and security for the pilgrims, in coordination with other law enforcement and security.
