Police holds awareness prog on drug abuse, cybercrime

JAMMU, Nov 22: Arnia Police today conducted an extensive awareness program on drug abuse and cybercrime at Government Higher Secondary School, Salehar. The initiative was led by SHO Police Station Arnia, Inspector Dilawar Kumar, accompanied by his team.
Addressing the students, Inspector Kumar warned about the grave impact of drug addiction on health, academics, and career growth. He urged the youth to stay vigilant, avoid narcotics, and embrace a disciplined lifestyle to secure a brighter future.
The session also featured a detailed segment on cyber safety. Students were advised to follow safe digital practices, including avoiding suspicious links, not sharing OTPs or personal details, and promptly reporting any doubtful online activity to prevent cyber fraud.
Interactive discussions, demonstrations, and a question–answer segment helped students understand real-world threats and preventive measures. The program aimed to equip young learners with practical knowledge, enabling them to make responsible choices both online and offline.
