Police helped pilgrims to get back their missing bags

Katra, Mar 2: With the help of Police, two pilgrims of Mata Vaishno Devi, who had lost their bags containing valuable items, were able to get back the same.
One unclaimed bag, containing cash of Rs 4000 and some clothes, was found by Police Party of Police Station Bhawan during patrolling duty. Announcements in this regard were flashed through JPCR following which a pilgrim, namely Brij Mohan of Kurukshetra Haryana   appeared before the police and reported about his missing bag containing Rs.4000/- and some clothes. Accordingly the bag was handed over to him by Police after clarification of his ownership.
In a similar case, one unclaimed bag containing golden Chhatter, having cost of Rs 6000  and some clothes, was also found by Police Party of PP Ardhkuwari during patrolling duty. After several announcements were flashed through JPCR, a pilgrim Vivek Mongia of New Delhi appeared before Police Post and reported about his missing bag. After proper verification,   the bag was handed over to him by Police.
Meanwhile, a minor boy of labourer was injured after being hit by a rashly driven car at Bhagata, here today. The victim, identified as Santosh, son of Dharmu of Madhya Pradesh, presently working at Bhagata, was playing on the roadside when the car hit him. The injured was rushed to hospital while Police has registered a case in this connection.
