JAMMU, Mar 12: Jammu and Kashmir Samaj Sudhar Committee (JKSSC) has flayed the Police Department for not solving the alleged murder case of a B Tech student, which had taken place on September 27, 2012.
Addressing a press conference, JKSSC president Mohammad Yousuf Wani said that a B Tech student studying in Panipat namely Ayaz Ahmed, son of Abdul Khaliq, resident of tehsil Mendhar, district Poonch on September 21, 2009 was on its way to home from Panipat and had a night stay at Jammu to recover the loan amount of Rs 85,000 from Fahin, son of Ghulam Qaddir of Beera, tehsil Mendhar, district Poonch.
Police recovered the body from Pathankote on September 27, 2012 and his belongings from the hired accommodation of Fahin and his associate Rahul Sharma, he said, adding that a case under Section 302 RPC was registered at Peer Mitha police station on February 4, 2013. Till then the police have failed to arrest the culprits behind the alleged murder of the Ayaz Ahmed, he alleged.
He urged the Government to hand over the case to Crime Branch for detailed investigation so that the accused behind the alleged murder of the student could be arrested.
Among others present were Sanju Manmotra, State chairman, Mohan Chowdhary, Chairman, Raj Sharma, State general secretary, JKSSC Women Cell, Pooja Sharma, deputy general secretary and advocate Qazi Iftikhar.
