UDHAMPUR, Apr 23: Even after more than month, Ramnagar Police has failed to recover the minor girl who was allegedly kidnapped when she was on way to home from her school.
The victim, resident of village Bassi, Marta in Ramnagar and a student of class 10th, was abducted on March 24 by a local youth.
Even as the complaint in this regard was lodged at the Police Station Ramnagar on the same day, Police has so far failed to recover this 15-year old girl.
Family members of the victim alleged that Police was not taking enough steps to recover the girl. They also feared threat to life of the victim by the alleged kidnapper.
They have appealed the Government and senior Police authorities to order necessary instructions for swift action in this regard and recover the girl besides arresting the accused.
When contacted, SDPO Ramnagar, G R Bhardwaj said that they were trying their best to locate the victim and a Police team was also dispatched for searches outside J&K in this connection but no success was achieved.
A case has already been registered in this regard at Police Station Ramnagar under the relevant sections and possible locations of the accused are on radar, he added.
