Police donates 43 wheel chairs to disabled persons

JAMMU, Apr 8: The State Police provided wheel chairs to 43 physically challenged people in a special camp organized at Miran Sahib in R S Pura today.
SSP Jammu Rajeshwar Singh was the chief guest on the occasion while SP Headquarters Shilendhar Singh and SDPO, R S Pura Diwakar Singh were also present besides concerned SHOs from R S Pura, Miran Sahib, Bishnah and Arnia. Several prominent persons of the area including Sarpanchs also attended the programme.
The SSP while speaking on the occasion said that under Quick Action Programme of Police, these wheel chairs have been donated to the handicapped children, youth and elderly people on the directions of Director General of J&K Police. He said that concerned Sarpanchs and Panchs of R S Pura and Bishnah belt have identified these handicapped persons and the police is offering this contribution for the society.
Sarpanch Kishore Kumar, Balwinder Singh, Rajender Singh, Pawan Raina, Ch Devraj and social activists Ashwani Jojra and Kundan Sharma expressed gratitude to police for providing wheel chairs to the handicapped persons of the area.
