DODA, June 16: Police distributed clothing items among 150 downtrodden, poor and needy families of Gujjar Basti, Bagla and Bharat areas of the district here today.
The clothing items including readymade garments like shirts, t-shirts, sweaters, bags for men, women and children were distributed by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Mohammad Shabir along with DySP Headquarters Doda Iftkhar Ahmed.
While speaking, SSP Mohammad Shabir said that the basic objective of police is to help the people in every way including security and assistance to make their day-to-day lives more comfortable.
He stressed upon the youth from rural background to work hard in their studies as they are the future of country. He also directed the people to stay away from illegal practices like forest cutting and bovine smuggling.
He informed that in the coming days, the clothing items will be distributed in other areas of the district like Thanala, Charala, Dessa, etc.
