KATHUA, Nov 1: Kathua Police today conducted a raid on illicit liquor distillations in different villages of Nagri tehsil.
The villages where raids were conducted included Chak Drab Khan, Mirpur Jaggu, Sakta Chak, Mahi Chak, Chat Yaland Sumwan. During raids 16 persons were apprehended including13 female and 3 male. Besides, about 150 lts of illicit liquor were recovered and 5000 ltrs of desi lahan was destroyed a police spokesman said.
He said the persons apprehended included Darshana Devi w/o Romesh Kumar of Chak Drab Khan, Neelam Devi W/o Som Raj R/o Chatyal, Rekha Devi W/o Chanda Ram.R/o Mirpur Jaggu ,Mulkh Raj S/o Gian Chand R/o Chatyal ,Pinki Devi W/o Sushil Kumar R/o Mahi Chak, Vijay Kumar S/o Ram Lal R/o Chak Drab Khan, Sonia Devi W/o Kuldeep Kumar R/o Mirpur Jaggu, Bachano Devi W/o Girdhari Lal R/o Chak Drab, Nima Devi W/o Rana R/o Chak Drab, Sheelo Devi W/o Ram Pal R/o Chak Drab, Kamlesh Kumar W/o Jagga R/o Chak Drab , Jagga S/o Sunder R/o Sunder Chak Drab, Anju Bala W/o Ashok Kumar R/o Sunder Chak Drab, Kailasho Devi W/o Sunder Raj Kumar R/o Sunder Chak Drab, Shakuntla Devi W/o Sunder Kasturi Lal R/o Sunder Chak Drab, Somma Devi W/o Sunder Ram Lal R/o Sunder Chak Drab.
