Police chargesheets 40 for anti-national activities

SRINAGAR, Dec 15: Police in Awantipora today presented a challan before the competent court against 40 persons allegedly involved in anti-national activities.
According to the police, the accused had allegedly crossed the border into Pakistan for illegal arms training and did not return thereafter.
The case pertains to FIR No. 86/2025, registered under Sections 2/3 of the EIMCO Act.
Police said the investigation was conducted by the Station House Officer of Police Station Awantipora under the supervision of the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Awantipora.
“After completing all legal formalities, the case was found fit for challan and accordingly submitted before the court for judicial proceedings,” police said.
Police further stated that they remain committed to taking firm and lawful action against offenders and ensuring strict adherence to the rule of law.
