Srinagar, Dec 13: Police in Kulgam district today attached a single-storeyed residential house in Chenigam, Frisal, under Section 25 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 (UAPA).

The property, registered in the name of Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat, son of Mohammad Akbar Bhat, resident of Chenigam, spans 10 Marlas (Survey No. 293 Min).

The attachment is connected to case FIR No. 53/2024 of Police Station Yaripora. The operation was carried out with the presence of a police team and the Executive Magistrate to ensure compliance with legal procedures.
This action forms part of the investigation into unlawful activities in the district and reinforces the efforts of Kulgam Police to address threats to national security.
Police team was headed by DySP Chanchal Singh under the supervision of SP Sahil Sangral.
