Police attaches property of drug peddler

RAJOURI, Feb 18: The police has attached the immovable property of a drug-peddler/ NDPS accused at Kotdhara in Rajouri district.
Reports said that Police Station Sunderbani, in continuation of action against drug trafficking networks, attached three commercial shops valued at Rs 12.88 lakh belonging to NDPS accused, Guftar Hussain, son of Mohd Afzal, a resident of Kotdhara in Rajouri. The action has been taken under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act.
It is pertinent to mention here that earlier in the same case a residential house worth Rs 19 lakh belonging to arrested accused Anwar Hussain, son of Amin Shah, resident of Kotdhara Rajouri was attached on 30.09.2025. A single-storey residential house worth Rs 16.73 lakh belonging to absconding accused Humaira Akhter, wife of Mashooq Ahmed Malik, resident of Jablipora, Bijbehara Anantnag was attached on 20.01.2026.
The case relates to the recovery of 3 kg 640 grams of charas on March 20, 2025. Initially two accused persons were arrested on the spot while another accused was later apprehended as a forward link in the drug trafficking network.
