14.8 kanals land valued at Rs 28 lakh

JAMMU, Mar 2: Poonch police today attached properties of three local terrorists of Poonch operating from Pakistan and Pakistan occupied Jammu Kashmir (PoJK) spread over a total of 14.8 kanals of land and valued at Rs 28 lakh.
Properties were attached at villages Qasba and Kirni in the border district of Poonch, the officials said.
Three terrorists whose properties were attached have been identified as Najab Din and Mohammad Latif, both brothers and sons of Mohamda, residents of village Kirni, Haveli and Mohammad Bashir alias Tikka Khan son of Bahadur Ali R/o Qasba, Haveli.

As per the officials, a total of four properties belonging to the three terrorists were attached. They totalled 14.8 kanals of land having approximate value of Rs 28 lakh.
All three terrorists whose properties were attached had fled to Pakistan and PoJK earlier and were engaged from there in promoting terrorism, disturbing peace and threatening social harmony in Poonch and other parts of Jammu and Kashmir.
“The action was taken in compliance with the court orders under Sections 82/83 of CrPC, related for First Information Report (FIR) No. 202/2022 registered at Police Station Poonch. The steps underscores firm commitment of Poonch police in taking strong action against the terrorists involved in subversive and other activities that disrupt social harmony,” the police officials said.
They added that attachment of properties owned by the terrorists was carried out in the presence of local residents of villages Qasba and Kirni.
“Police remained steadfast in its resolve to root out terrorism and ensure peace and stability in the region,” the officials said.
As per the sources, the terrorists operating from Pakistan and PoJK remained in touch with the locals and continue to instigate youth to join terrorism. However, their attempts have been foiled by the police.
Police in different districts over the past have attached properties of terrorists including those who have fled to Pakistan and PoJK and are carrying out activities from there.
