Police attaches drug peddler’s property worth Rs 1.5 cr

UDHAMPUR, May 20: In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, Udhampur Police attached moveable property worth Rs 1.50 crores, belonging to notorious drug peddler Mohd. Asif of Hartaryan, Udhampur.

The property was declared proceeds of drug smuggling and has been attached under section 68(F) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
The accused namely Mohd Asif, son of Sanak Mohd of village Hartayan, Rehambal, District Udhampur, is involved in FIR No. 14/25 under Sections 8/21/22 NDPS Act registered at Police Station Rehambal,
The attached properties include three Trucks bearing registration number JK14J-6362, JK14J-8369, JK20C-4698 and one Bolero car bearing number . JK14J-4983.
According to SSP Udhampur , Amod Ashok Nagpure, Udhampur Police remains committed to its zero-tolerance policy against drug-related crimes and will continue to take firm action against those involved in such illicit activities.
