Police attaches drug peddler’s properties worth Rs 35 lakh

UDHAMPUR, Jan 28: Udhampur Police today attached a property worth Rs 35 lakhs belonging to an alleged drug peddler, namely Arun Choudhary, son of Late Sultan Parvez of Krowa, Udhampur.
The attached property comprises a residential house situated at Village Krowa along with one vehicle (Maruti Suzuki Wagon-R). It has been attached under Section 68(F) of the NDPS Act in connection with FIR No. 245/2025 U/S 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Udhampur.
During the course of investigation, detailed financial scrutiny and backward link analysis revealed that the accused had acquired the said property through proceeds generated from illicit narcotics trade. Based on these findings, the Investigating Officer passed the attachment order today for further legal proceedings.
With this action, Udhampur Police’s total NDPS-related property attachment for the year has now reached approximately ?1.10 crore, reflecting its sustained and firm crackdown against drug peddlers.
