SRINAGAR, Dec 8: Police today arrested Public Relation Officer (PRO) and another aide of Congress leader Taj Mohi-ud-Din for allegedly distributing money to influence voters.
A police official said that the duo were detained from Limber area of Uri. The PRO Iqbal Choudhry and Master Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din were allegedly distributing cash among voters in Limber area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Police said that the duo were arrested after police received information that some people were distributing money in Limber area. Police caught the duo and they were lodged in Police Station Boniyar.
Taj is contesting elections from Uri seat of Baramulla, which goes to polls tomorrow.
