SRINAGAR, Apr 17: Police arrested a psychotropic drug dealer and recovered 50 bottles of codeine phosphate from his possession in North Kashmir’s Bramulla district today.
A Police spokesman said that after acting on specific information, a police team laid a naka (checkpoint) on NHW at Zangam and during frisking of vehicles, one biker, Manzoor Ahmad Khawja, a resident of Nowlari Pattan was stopped by naka party.
He said during the search of the said person, 50 bottles of codeine phosphate were recovered from his possession and a case with FIR No 81/2018 under Section 8/22 NDPS Act was registered in Police Station Pattan and investigation taken up.
