Police arrests absconder

Srinagar, Sept 19: Police in Ganderbal today arrested an absconder, at large for the last four years.
The accused, identified as Zahoor Ahmad Lone son of Mohd Ramzan Lone resident of Preng Kangan, police said, was wanted by the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Rajouri, in connection with a case under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act.
“Despite repeated warrants, the accused continuously dodged arrest and avoided court appearances,” police said.
Authorities stated that, acting with precision and professionalism, a dedicated police team from Police Station Kangan tracked down and apprehended the absconder on 18.09.2025.
“Subsequently, the accused was produced before the Hon’ble Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Rajouri for further legal action.”
