SAMBA, Nov 18: Samba police has arrested two drug peddlers in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Vijaypur and recovered approximately six grams of heroin (Chitta) from their possession.
Police said a team of Police Station, Vijaypur during vehicle checking at AIIMS Naka, Vijaypur, intercepted a motorcycle bearing Registration Number, JK02AU-1653 for its checking which was coming from Samba side. During frisking, approximately six (06) grams of heroin was recovered from the possession of both persons riding on the bike.
Police said the drug peddlers identified as Kaka Ram, son of Bawa Ram of JakhJogpur tehsil Vijaypur district Samba and Gurmail Singh, son of Nirmal Singh of Baba Bakala tehsil and district, Amritsar (Punjab) have been arrested and contraband item has been seized. The motorcycle has also been seized in the instant case.
Police said a case FIR No. 127/2025 U/S 8/21/22/25/29 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Vijaypur and investigation started.
