Srinagar, Dec 5: Police today said it have arrested twelve gamblers and recovered rupees 50,000 stake money from the gambling spots.
A police spokesman said the police parties in Old City here conducted two raids near Islamia College and Nowpora. “Twelve gamblers were arrested. Nine of them were arrested at Hawal with stake money of Rs. 47640 and three at Nowpora with stake money of Rs. 8560,” the spokesman said.
The spokesman said two separate cases under FIR numbers 105/2015 and 79/2015 under section 13 gambling act have been registered respectively.
