JAMMU, Apr 1: All J&K 1947 PoJK Sharnarthi Intellectual Forum has elected new office bearers in a General Body Meeting held today.
The meeting was held under the leadership of its outgoing president, Advocate Amrik Singh, to elect a new executive body. The meeting was attended by distinguished members, intellectuals, and community representatives committed to the cause of PoJK refugees.
The house unanimously appointed Prof KD Singh as the Returning Officer. Following the dissolution of the previous executive body, Prof Singh initiated the election process. Senior Forum member Naseeb Singh proposed the name of Amrik Singh for president’s post, seconded by Surjeet Singh. The house unanimously re-elected Adv Amrik Singh, as president authorizing him to constitute the new executive team.
Paramjeet Singh was inducted as senior vice president. Naseeb Singh as vice president, Kuldeep Singh general secretary, Dr Surjeet Singh as joint secretary, Charanjeet Singh as chief spokesperson, Ramesh Gandhi as spokesperson, TK Sharma as chief advisor, Paramjeet Singh as chief cashier, Kuldeep Singh Kuku as cashier while Surjeet Singh as media incharge of the Forum.
A 32-member Core Committee under Prof K D Singh was also framed. J P Singh was declared as youth wing head of the Forum.
