JAMMU, Dec 24: Public Opinion Forum (POF) today held interaction with visiting guest Manu Khajuria Singh of Jammu, who runs a powerful group, ‘Voice of Dogras’ in England uniting those Dogras residing in European nations.
During an hour-long interaction, she informed that the message about Dogras and Dogri has reached Australia after Voice of Dogras established its base in Europe. Within the country (India), similar groups have been formed in Mumbai and Delhi, she added.
“Maharaja Hari Singh commands a lot of respects in the hearts of people of Pakistan Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK), so we meet and share dais on common platforms and have even started interacting with those like minded people. They (people of PoJK) feel very comfortable with we people from Jammu and Kashmir, especially from Jammu,” she disclosed.
Earlier, soon after formal introduction of Manu Khajuria with the members, President of the Forum, Parveen Sharma, informed about the activities of the Voice of Dogras in Jammu and England.
A number of issues came up for discussion with the visiting guest, who informed that she has been making all out efforts to take up those issues related to Dogra culture and history at the Government level.
She laid stress on a united effort to work for the unity and integrity of Dogras and their heritage thereby spreading message among the youth, especially those at the school and college level.
Among those who took part in interaction were Prof Varinder Gupta, Prof Vijay Sharma, Colonel J P Singh, Dr Gopal Parthasarthy Sharma, Rahul Sharma, Nathu Ram Gupta, Subash Sharma and Kapil Sharma.
