JAMMU, Feb 1: Pt Prem Nath Bhat Memorial Trust (PNBMT) organised a function here at Sanjeevani Sharda Kendra Anandnagar Bohri today to highlight the role of Vivekananda Kendra, Nagdandi Achabal.
While paying tributes to Nagdandi Ashram chairman, Brij Lal Bhat who was recently honoured with Padam Shri by Government of India in taking the mission of Swami Vivekandna of man making to nation building forward said he dedicatedly served the society.
The function was chaired by Justice (retd) Brij Lal Bhat while Padam Shri, Dr K N Pandita was the guest of honour and vice chairman of the Trust, C L Pandita also shared the dais. They along with Justice (retd) Sunil Hali, Justice (retd) Bansi Lal Bhat, Prof A N Sadhoo, district and Session Judge (retd), B L Saraf and Prof Koul, M L Malla honoured B L Bhat for his contribution and development of Nagdandi Ashram as a Centre of Sanatan Dharma in Kashmir Valley.
Well known columnist and former District and Session Judge B L Saraf highlighted in detail of role of B L Bhat in serving the society and development of the Nagdandi Ashram in Anantnag district of Kashmir as the hub of Sanatan Dharma.
In his address Brij Lal Bhat said that he is confident that his efforts will yield the fruit and highlighted the role of Swami Vivekanda Ashram, Kanya Kumari in assisting the displaced Pandits during their mass exodus from Valley. He also highlighted the role of martyr Pt Prem Nath Bhat who was closely associated with the Vivekananda Kendra and establishment of Nagdandi Ashram.
Justice (retd) B L Bhat also lauded the role of Padam Shri Awardee B L Bhat and termed him a selfless person who served the mankind during testing times. He said B L Bhat is in real sense a Karam Yogi. While Dr K N Pandita said B L Bhat was selected for this honour by Government of India for his dedication and honest approach and service to mankind. He said after his retirement from Government service where he served as a Head of the Department, B L Bhat dedicated himself to social service to payback the country and society.
The welcome address was read by Dr Ramesh Bhat who set the agenda of today’s programme in motion, while Bushan Lal Bhat, a social activist highlighted the role of Pt. Prem Nath Bhat. The stage was managed by Sundri Lal Koul, general secretary of the Trust while the vote of thanks was proposed by C L Pandita vice chairman of the Trust.
