PNBMT delegation calls on Dr Jitendra Singh, discusses various issues

The delegation comprised C.L. Pandita, vice chairman, Virender Raina, chief spokesperson, A.K. Raina, former Director School Education, Shadi Lal Koul Rais, general secretary, and Sundri Lal Koul, secretary.
The meeting revolved around key issues concerning the welfare and empowerment of the Kashmiri Pandit (KP) community, including the need for greater inclusion of KP youth in Central Government initiatives, creation of livelihood opportunities, and preservation of the community’s spiritual heritage.
During the deliberations, Dr Jitendra Singh praised the contribution of the Kashmiri Pandit community in strengthening nationalist thought and fostering intellectual vibrancy in the country. He appreciated the steadfastness and commitment of the community towards the ideals of national unity and development.
Speaking on the occasion, Virender Raina, chief spokesperson of PNBMT, commended the transformative role played by Dr. Jitendra Singh in ushering in a new era of governance and innovation across multiple sectors. He highlighted the Minister’s pioneering efforts in spearheading the Start-up revolution in Science and Technology, particularly in Tier-2 and Tier-3 towns, promoting research and innovation among youth through initiatives under the Department of Science & Technology, strengthening space-based governance, leading to transparency and efficiency in public services, advancing bio -economy, agritech, and medical innovation, enabling India’s march toward self-reliance, introducing progressive reforms in the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) to foster a culture of positivity, transparency, and accountability within government functioning.
Raina said that Dr. Singh’s leadership has created an ecosystem of positivity and performance across ministries, inspiring countless young Indians to innovate and contribute to national growth.
The delegation also apprised the Minister of the developmental challenges faced by the displaced Kashmiri Pandit community, particularly in matters of employment, education, and cultural preservation. They urged that KP youth be made integral stakeholders in the growth ecosystem, with a dedicated job package in central government services.
The long-pending demand for the passage of the Temples and Shrines Bill was also discussed, with the delegation emphasising the importance of preserving the ancient temples and cultural symbols of Kashmir that form the core of the community’s civilisational identity.
While interacting with the press after the meeting, the delegation expressed gratitude to Dr. Jitendra Singh for his empathy, understanding, and proactive engagement with the issues of the community. They reaffirmed the Trust’s commitment to continue its efforts in uniting the community and advancing the vision of social and cultural renaissance inspired by the ideals of Pt. Prem Nath Bhat.
