JAMMU, Sept 9: Punjab National Bank (PNB) today organized a financial inclusion saturation camp at Gram Panchayat Fatehpur Brahmana in R S Pura, as part of the nationwide campaign of the Department of Financial Services (DFS), Union Ministry of Finance.
The intensive campaign, which runs from July 1 to September 30, 2025, aims at achieving saturation of beneficiaries under Government financial inclusion schemes and re-KYC of eligible accounts across all gram panchayats.
The camp at Fatehpur Brahmana was graced by Chandrashekhar Azad, Regional Director, RBI Jammu, as the chief guest. Among the dignitaries present were Vibha Gupta, Deputy General Manager, RBI; Ram Sarup, Deputy General Manager, RBI; Anil Kumar Sharma, Circle Head, PNB Jammu; Dharmesh Dwivedi, Deputy Circle Head, PNB Jammu, besides local panchayat representatives and officials from other banks.
At the camp, accounts were opened for unbanked individuals under Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY), while enrolments under PMJJBY, PMSBY and Atal Pension Yojana were also carried out. On-the-spot re-KYC of accounts, including PMJDY and non-PMJDY accounts, was facilitated. Awareness sessions on digital fraud prevention, unclaimed deposits, and grievance redressal mechanisms were also held.
PNB officials informed that such saturation camps are being conducted in all 4,291 gram panchayats of J&K in coordination with bank branches, Business Correspondents, local representatives and Government functionaries.
