The institution is being run by a governing body headed by Amar Chand Gupta, doing exemplary work for the education of children rendered orphan by any tragedy in the State.
Addressing students, Ashok Gupta, Deputy General Manager, Circle Head J&K Operations, appreciated the role of the managing committee for running such like institutions for the betterment of children in particular and society in general. He assured the students that the bank would always try to help and give every possible support to the school so that no child feels any disadvantage for getting proper education.
Ashok Gupta announced that on Republic Day bank shall distribute note books and school bags to students of the school. Bank Education Loan and Student Deposit Scheme were explained to the students in detail.
Capt. Purshotam Sharma, vice president of Bal Niketan, Ved Mandir, thanked the Bank management for this gesture. He added that PNB through its CSR programmes is doing appreciable work in providing a helping hand to such schools.
A K Mota, Chief Manager Circle Office, Neeraj Anand, Senior Manager Security PNB, K K Mengi, secretary, Satish Mittal, joint secretary, and Bal Krishan Gupta, treasurer, Bal Niketan, Ved Mandir, were present at the function.
