JAMMU, Jan 4: Former J&K BJP President Sat Sharma (CA) today said that the benefits of flagship scheme PMAY must reach the potential beneficiaries as early as possible.
“This is the resolve of our party that we help all the needy and left-over PMAY beneficiaries get a pucca house, which is also the dream of Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” Sharma said in a press statement.
He said the Prime Minister has been heading a Government which is committed to fulfil the requirements of the needy people cutting across the regions and religions.
“And the Housing for All Scheme has fulfilled the dreams of many needy people of country in general and Jammu and Kashmir in particular by providing them an affordable pucca house,” said the former MLA.
Sharma said this while listening to the grievances of various deputations and individuals here at Party Headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu. He was accompanied by Ashwani Sharma, former MLA Bishnah and Sanjay Baru, Convenor, Urban Local Body Cell, J&K BJP.
As per the press statement, the main issues projected by the individuals and deputations pertain to water, ration, lanes, drains, roads, health, and revenue department.
One of the deputations, the press statement said, raised the concern about inclusion of left-over needy people under the PM Awas Yojana.
After giving a patient hearing to the deputation, it said, the BJP leaders Sat Sharma, Ashwani Sharma, and Sanjay Baru spoke with the concerned officials telephonically and asked them to cover the left-over cases of PMAY as soon as possible (ASAP).
