PM package employees delegation calls on RRC

JAMMU, Sept 29: A delegation of PM Package Employees Association Mattan Anantnag led by Ranjan Jyotshi called on Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner (RRC), Dr Arvind Karwani here. today and highlighted the demands of package employees before him.
The delegation demanded that permanent allotments of quarters be made with priority for class fourth staff, single mothers, specially abled employees and those with chronically ill dependents.
It also demanded immediate allotment of Ranbirpora flats to end uncertainty and ensure fair distribution. Besides it stressed on allotment of quarters without delay and priority be given to employees living in rented accommodations and ensure completion of works in other colonies and giving possession of flats to deserving people on completion.
The delegation demanded urgent measures be taken for safety of transit camps especially at Mattan as camps are on steep slopes prone to landslides and flash floods, posing risk to lives and property.
The delegation demanded basic amenities like drinking water , motorable road from Machbhawan to Mattan, installation of lifts in multi story blocks etc, proper drainage provisions etc.
The delegation further demanded preparation of DPC of Class IV employees, clearance of long pending Departmental Promotion Committee cases in the Relief Department to secure fair promotions and career growth.
