JAMMU, Nov 9: A meeting of All Displaced Kashmiri United Forum (ADKUF) was held under the leadership of PL Sudeshi its president here, today.
The meeting took a serious note of the Finance Department’s order depriving PM Package employees of departmental promotions and other facilities available to their fellow State Government employees. “This order is not only discriminatory but unfair against the fundamental rights of the community as well when there is no difference in their service duties and responsibilities etc’’.
The Forum said such illegal discrimination reflects the prejudiced mindset of the ruling class treading the pre 90s path of hatred against minority community.
Every Government employee appointed through prescribed selection process having similar working conditions duties and responsibilities is governed by Service Conduct Rules have equal rights thus all facilities promotions transfers etc must be extended to package employees immediately. The Forum demanded that the order must be treated null and void.
PK Raina acting president suggested that the activities of the Forum need to be increased to rejuvenate it.
Forum reiterated its full support to passage of Kashmir Temples and Shrines Bill.
It appealed Election Commissioner to allow displaced community to participate in local bodies elections like Municipalities’ and Panchayats so that the basic civic facilities are provided to us till our return to Valley.
Encroachment of Pandits property is going on unabated even now temples and cremation grounds lands too haven’t been spared at many places. Forum appealed the Government to take punitive action against all illegal encroachers and recover the occupied property without delay.
Among others P N Raina general secretary, Prof GL Koul chief advisor, Bharat Bhshan Gosain, ML Koul, Mk Koul , S K Koul, Surinder Bhan, Satish Raina, Ashok Bhat, Shadi Lal Mantoo were also present.
