NEW DELHI : Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a Joint Conference of Chief Justices and Chief Ministers of states here this morning, marking the culmination of a three-day Conference of Judges. The Conference which began on Friday (Good Friday) and carried through the weekend culminating today, got mired in controversy after one of the Judges declined a dinner invitation by the Prime Minister saying religious sentiments should have been taken into consideration. The session is being attended by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh and others. Addressing the occasion, the Prime Minister said he was well acquainted with this forum which used to be smaller earlier. (AGENCIES)
