JAMMU, Nov 26: A delegation of All JK +2 PSC Lecturers’ Association Jammu, called on Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Chowdhary and submitted a memorandum urging him to implement Assured Career Progression(ACP).
As per a handout issued by the association, the delegation led by its president Manjeet Chib, informed Deputy CM that they have been pursuing the issue of career progression for more than one decade, but no substantial steps have been taken by the Government to address the problems.
Informing that the Establishment committee has constituted a sub committee headed by Commissioner Secretary Jal Shakti Shaleen Kabra for the issue, the delegation appealed Deputy CM to intervene and project the demand on behalf of nation builders. The delegation also appealed him to ask the Govt to implement the scheme on the analogy recently granted in favour of counterparts of Ladakh UT.
The delegation told the Deputy CM that +2 lecturers is the only cadre having limited promotion avenues and no provision of TBP/ACP. 7th Pay Commission recommendations and provisions of three financial up-gradation as per NEP 2020 must be implemented in favour of +2 lecturers particularly for direct recruits, said the delegation.
Deputy CM listened to the grievances of the delegation and assured full support in this regard.
Besides, the delegation also met Principal Secretary School Education Department and submitted charter of demands. The delegation apprised him the core issues and requested him to redress the problems on priority basis. The delegation also raised the issue of ATD 2025 and demanded to complete the process in a stipulated time period. The delegation also requested him to make all the transfers on School based choice instead of zonation.
The delegation requested Commissioner Secretary to initiate the process of ATD 2025 for teachers, Lecturers and +2 Principals and set a time frame so that the process may be completed by or before 20th Feb 2025.
