JAMMU/ UDHAMPUR, Aug 12: All J&K Plus 2 Lecturers’ Forum has expressed its serious concern over dilly dally tactics of the Government to regularize incharge incumbents and filling of vacant posts lying in the Department.
A meeting of the forum was held under the chairmanship of its district president, BD Sharma, who while speaking advocated for early implementation of Cabinet decision for regularization of incharge incumbents in the Department.
He said that many posts of lecturers in different disciplines like senior lecturers, principals, CEOs and Joint Directors are lying vacant and the Department is deliberately blocking the promotions avenues of the officers.
Sharma appealed the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to intervene into the matter and redress the same at the earliest.
Meanwhile, All J&K Plus 2 Lecturer’s Forum, Udhampur held monthly meeting, which was presided over by Arunesh Kumar, district president of the forum.
The members expressed concern on the inordinate delay in the publication of necessary and formal orders pertaining to the regularization of the in-charge incumbents of plus 2 cadre and demanded the issuance of said orders at the earliest.
They urged the Government to concede their long pending demands including granting the benefits of running pattern, revival of 40 per cent quota of promotion of plus 2 Lecturers to Assistant Professors in the Higher Education Department, besides other demands.
The speakers also urged the BOSE authorities to clear the pending bills of remuneration of supervisory and evaluation staff.
