Plus 2 Lecturers’ Forum holds meet, discusses demands

JAMMU, Apr 8: A meeting of the Central body of All J&K Plus 2 Lecturers’ Forum was held under the chairmanship of its State president Narinder Singh Jamwal, today.
The House unanimously passed a resolution for the constitution of the Election Authority for the conduct of elections to Central and District Bodies of the All J&K Plus 2 Lecturers’ Forum, in accordance with the constitution of the Forum.
The Election Authority comprising of  J S Manhas Principal SRML Jammu convener, Subash Chander Principal HSS Rehari  co-convener, Pardeep Billoria senior lecturer, Rajesh Magotra senior lecturer and Rakesh Gupta senior lecturer members was requested to ensure early elections, preferably in the third week of May this year.
They hoped that the new Government will also take measures to address the long pending grievances of Plus 2 cadre. The speakers expressed concern over the inordinate delay in the adjustment of newly promoted lecturers to fill up the vacancies in schools.
The speakers also demanded that JKBOSE should publish an annual calendar of the various activities such as holding of examinations, declaration of results so that the students do-not face any problems.
Speaking on the occasion, Jamwal shared the concern of the speakers and urged the concerned authorities to concede all the demands projected by them. He also demanded that the in-charge incumbents in the School Education Department be regularized at the earliest. He also lauded the efforts of the Education Minister in formulating a rational and transparent transfer policy in the School Education Department and demanded that it should be strictly implemented across the State.
He also demanded enhancement in the remuneration in the rates of supervisory and evaluation duties of JKBOSE, holding of examinations in time, timely clearance of bills, publication of annual calendar of various activities by the Board.
Prominent among others who addressed the meeting included Tarsem Singh, Charan Dass, Ashwani Kumar, Arunesh Kumar, Kiranjeet Kour, Pradeep Singh, Anil Kumar and others.
