Plus-2 Forum calls on Shantmanu, demands regularization of Lecturers

JAMMU, Mar 21: A delegation of All J&K +2 Lecturers ‘ Forum, called on Administrative Secretary, School Education Department, Shantmanu, Additional Chief Secretary at Civil Secretariat Jammu, in his office chamber.
The delegation was led by Pardeep Singh Rakwal and R S Salathia, Forum President and Chairman, respectively. The main focus of meeting was regularisation of Incharge lecturers.
The delegation apprised Shantmanu of the injustice meted out to Incharge lecturers who they said, were supposed to be regularised within six months of their elevation but unfortunately were not given their due.
The delegation further informed the Administrative Secretary SED that many Incharge lecturers had retired and many died before getting regularised putting them and their families ‘ life in misery.
The delegation members urged Additional Chief Secretary, Shantmanu to address the issue of regularisation of incharge lecturers, filling up the vacancies of Principals, granting ACP and opening the window of ATD for Lecturers and Principals.
Shantmanu gave a patient hearing to the Forum delegation and immediately rang Special Secretary for reporting the progress on regularisation of Incharge lecturers. He assured the delegation that he would shortly go for regularisation of those Incharge Lecturers in whose favour one-time exemption has been recommended by the committee constituted by the Govt. vide Govt. Order No. 188- JK (Edu) of 2024 dated 15.03.2024. He also assured that other demands would also be fulfilled on priority basis.
The other leaders who were part of the delegation, included R K Padroo, Gh Nabi Malik and Rajnish Raina.
