We the physically challenged Govt employees of the J&K State, would like to request the Governor of the State N N Vohra, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, his cabinet ministers, especially ministers of Social Welfare and Justice and Commissisoner Secretaries Finance, Law, GAD, Social Welfare, to kindly issue formal orders with regard to enhancement of conveyance allowance upto 5 percent of basic pay, or Rs 1000, whichever is less, as approved by the Chief Minister and his Cabinet in the Cabinet meeting of 11/07/2012.
Moreover, it is also humbly requested to ensure the full implementation of various constitutional, legal, official and workplace rights and provisions, on the lines of: Equal opportunities and protection of rights act, PWD Act 1995, the persons with disabilities national trust rules and national policy for persons with disabilities; whereby disabled employees and the disabled persons as a whole are to be provided disable friendly and barrier free environments, in all Govt/Semi Govt offices public utilities/facilities, different institutes and various arms of the Govt, for their easy accessibility and also to ensure their social empowerment, social security and full integration with the society in a welfare State.
