Placement of students starts with big bang at Global Institutes Amritsar

JAMMU, Dec 3: The placement of the students started with a big bang at Global Institutes, Amritsar, wherein the aspirants bagged the highest package of Rs 10 lakh per annum.
According to Dr Akashdeep Singh, Vice Chairman, Global Institutes, Amritsar, the students are eagerly waiting for their results and in this situation, the biggest challenge parents face is to select the right college for the bright future of their children.
He added that the calibre of any education institute is known by its academics. Global Institutes has won 5 Gold Medals, 24 University Toppers, 200+ Merit Positions in PTU, he stated.
“More than 150 students have already been placed in the 2015-2016 passing out batch. Various MNCs such as Open Text, TCS, HCL, Capital Via, Aon Hewit, Hexaware Technologies, Trigent, AIS Glass, Eider Motors, Baya Tree and many others have already visited the campus for placement drives during the season. Many students got more than 2 job offers during these drives. The placement season for 2016 students will continue till June 2016”, he said and expressed hope that they would make sure that every student has a job offer in their hand before they finish their degree of Global Institutes.
Dr Akashdeep Singh said that “To further strengthen and explore new avenues in educational linkages with reputed institutions of higher education and to give international exposure to students, Global Institutes has tie-ups with many foreign Universities in USA, Canada, France, Russia and Austria. Students can opt for internship at the Universities in any of these countries. This gives the students an edge over others as it helps them during their placements after the completion of their course.
He informed that Global Institutes have developed centre of excellence for sharpening the skills of students. These include High Performance Automobiles, Robotics and Industrial Automation, Mobile Computing and Big Data. It is compulsory for students to take part in these Centres to sharpen their skills in their respective fields. Students have developed award winning Formula-1 Cars, Quadcopter, Spokeless Cycle and many others in these Centres, he added.
