Placement drive held for students of North Polytechnic

JAMMU, July 17: Eleven students of IT, Computer Engineering and Electronics & Communication Department got short-listed for the placement in different National and Multi National Companies in the ongoing placement drive held in the campus of North Polytechnic, Purkhoo Camp, Domana, here today.
The Companies include Genpact, Tele Performances, HCL, Wipro, Tata and JB Computers, while large number of students of North Polytechnic, who have appeared in their final examination in 3-year Diploma Course in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Branches have been selected for undergoing Skill Development Training, under the project “UDAAN” which is a joint initiative by Government of India and Government of Jammu and Kashmir.
The initiative has been launched to give exposure to fresh Degree and Diploma holders in the field of Engineering and Technology.
In the recently concluded selection drive through Indian Institute of Skill Development Pvt Ltd. Gurgaon, 84 students of North Polytechnic were selected for a 6-months industrial training after which, they are likely to be placed in reputed multinational companies getting very good emoluments.
In addition to this, two students of Mechanical Engin-eering Department of this institution have been placed in Tata Motors during a placement drive held in Govt Polytechnic, Bikram Chowk, Jammu.
The students are greatly excited because these selections are golden chance for them to get settled in their respective professional career.
