PK presents paper on ‘How Homeland’

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Dec 30: Panun Kashmir today for the first time presented an exhaustive paper on ‘How Homeland’ elucidating the road map for creating a separate homeland with union territory for displaced Kashmiri Pandits in Kashmir.
The paper lays down the legal and constitutional framework for giving actual shape to the geo-political aspirations of the community.
Authored and presented by a young community activist Rashneek Kher, the paper was later adopted unanimously by the hundreds of delegates present on the occasion in KECSS Hall, Pamposh Enclave, New Delhi.
Earlier, in his inaugural address, Panun Kashmir Convenor Dr Agnishekhar complimented the youth of the community for imparting fresh vigour and paradigm to the Kashmiri Pandit struggle in exile. He said the involvement of youth in the Homeland struggle had laid to rest the malicious propaganda of community’s enemies who say our youth are not interested in returning to Kashmir. He further challenged the critics who doubt the constitutional veracity of the Homeland demand to pick holes in the How Homeland paper. He also added the document further sanctified the Margdarshan 91 resolution of the community.
In a significant departure from the routine, the gathering was addressed by the young community activists drawn from various walks of the life. Among those who presented their perspective on the future struggle of the community were Rohit Bhat from Pune, Akshay Ambardar from Delhi, Sunil Dhar from Pune, Tarun Raina from Delhi and a non-Kashmiri student activist Madhav Singh. All speakers emphasized the struggle for achieving the Homeland will continue more vigorously and will be taken to the logical conclusion no matter how much time it takes. Rahul Razdan from Seattle, Lalit Kaul from USA and Sanjay Raina from Dubai addressed the gathering through video conferencing.
Earlier, Youth Panun Kashmir felicitated three prominent community personalities, CL Gadoo, Sunil Shakdar and Ashok Handoo with Lok Sewa Samman for their immense contribution towards the struggle in exile.
