RAMNAGAR, Oct 6: To discuss arrangements for smooth conduct of ensuing Shri Pingla Mata pilgrimage during coming Navratras starting from October 16, a meeting of Teshil Officers and Pingla Devi Management Committee members was held here under the chairmanship of Tehsildar, Ramnagar, Sushil Kesar.
Threadbare discussion was held on arrangements like drinking water, power supply, security, first-aid, transport and sanitation at the shrine site and enroute.
The Tehsildar directed the officers concerned to put in their best efforts to ensure safe drinking water to pilgrims besides uninterrupted power supply. He also called officers of Health Department to deploy mobile staff with medicines at vintage points. The Police would ensure security arrangements during Navratra days. He also directed the concerned agency to maintain the road from Kirmoo to Darbar well in time for the comfort of pilgrims.
The Akhand Joyti would be lit on first day of Navratra at Pingla Devi Chabutra in the heart of Ramnagar town and would be carried to Pingla Mata Darbar on October 21, 2012 morning in a procession of devotees.
