SRINAGAR, Feb 1: The Press Information Bureau (PIB) has organised a five-day media tour to Kerala for journalists from Srinagar as part of its ongoing outreach and engagement initiatives.
The tour commenced today and will conclude on February 7, 2026.
A 14-member press delegation, comprising journalists from Srinagar along with PIB officials, is participating in the visit.
Prior to departure, Director, PIB Srinagar, Qazi Salman briefed the delegation in Srinagar, outlining the objectives of the tour and encouraging journalists to engage constructively during interactions.
Majid Pandit, Media and Communication Officer, PIB Srinagar, is leading the delegation as the conducting officer.
The media tour, scheduled from February 2 to 6, aims to provide regional journalists with firsthand exposure to key Central Government initiatives and programmes.
The tour is expected to enable them to gain an in-depth understanding of national-level development efforts.
Congratulating the participants, Qazi Salman said the visit would be an enriching experience, offering valuable insights into the functioning of major government institutions and fostering stronger professional engagement.
During the tour, the delegation will visit several Central Government establishments and projects in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram and interact with senior officials to understand their operations and functioning.
