JAMMU, May 3: Punjab Kesri’s photo journalist Prem Gupta passed away here this evening after brief illness.
He was 58.
Gupta was known for his politeness and a professional photographer. His works had won many applauds.
He was cremated this afternoon at his native Hiranagar town in Kathua district, where large number of people drawn from all walks of life attended his last rites.
Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, PDP vice president Sartaj Madni, National Conference provincial president Devender Singh Rana and BJP MLA from Nowshera, Ravinder Raina have expressed condolences over the sudden demise of Prem Gupta. They prayed for peace to the departed soul and courage to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss.
