JAMMU, July 22: A mobile phone was recovered from one of the barracks of the high-security Central Jail Kot Bhalwal here, police said.
They said the jail authorities launched a search on Monday after some videos surfaced on social media showing activities from inside the jail premises.
During the inspection, a mobile phone was found in possession of a prisoner, police said.
Confirming the incident, a police officer said an FIR number 75/2025 has been registered at Police Station Gharota on the complaint of the Jail Superintendent and further investigation has been taken up.
