PHE workers gear up for strike on Feb 7-8

UDHAMPUR, Feb 3: The Water Works PHE Employees Association, district Udhampur unit has appealed to the workers to gear up for two days’ strike (Kam Chhorh Hartal) on February 7 and 8, 2020.
In a meeting of the Association held under the chairmanship of senior leader, Suraj Parkash at PHE Complex Udhampur today, the members discussed their pending issues. They strongly demanded release of their 58 months pending wages, regularization of CP/ITI/land case workers , remove shortage of staff at water stations/ pumping houses/ offices, conduct of DPC and change of designation as per the nature of job.
Suraj Parkash said that as per the call given by PHE Employees United Front, Jammu province, all the workers in Udhampur district would observe two days’ `Kam Chhorh Hartal’ on Feb 7-8. He appealed to all the workers to gear up for the upcoming strike and make it a grand success. He said that if the Government remained unmoved then employees shall be left with only option to intensify their agiation.
Senior members Dinesh Kesar, Krishan Chand, Chuni Lal, Bharat Singh, Karan Singh, Charan Dass and Janat Ali also spoke on the occasion.
