JAMMU, Sept 28: A delegation of  agitating All J&K PHE, ITI trained Daily Wagers, CP and Need Base Workers Association (Jammu province) led by Tanvir Hussian, its president, met the senior Congress leaders at PCC headquarters here and sought their support for their cause.
Accompanied by Association office bearers Deepak Gupta-vice president, Vijay Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar and others during meeting with Congress leaders apprised them about their ongoing strike and regretted that Government has failed to appreciate their genuine demands as a result they are on agitational path for over twenty days.
They criticized the indifferent attitude of the Government towards their genuine demands. The ruling parties had promised to fulfill their demands coming to power but now they are adopting a dilly-delaying policy on their issues which include their regularization policy and regular wages. They sought the support of all political and social groups for their demands.
The senior  Congress leaders assured them that the Congress party  would extend full support to their cause both inside and outside the Legislature. They lashed out at the State Government for not conceding the demands of the agitating workers who are on roads for a long time and asked the Government and authorities to immediately accede to their genuine demands.
The Congress leaders including Sham Lal Sharma -senior vice president,    Raman Bhalla, vice president (former ministers); Ravinder Sharma-chief spokesman; Rajnesh Sharma Co-Treasurer; Manjit Singh, Vikram Malhotra, Manmohan Singh (general secretaries); Shiv Dev Singh-(Ex-MLA) and Neeraj Gupta- secretary gave patient hearing to the deputation and assured them their full support to the  genuine  demands of the PHE workers.
