UDHAMPUR, Aug 12: Demanding their regularization, PHE daily wagers of District Udhampur held a strong protest demonstration, here today in the premises of PHE Division Office Udhampur.
Daily wager ITI trained/CP workers, Need Base and Casual Labour of PHE Department from various sub divisions took part in the protest, which was organized under the banner of All J&K PHE ITI Trained and CP Workers Association, led by provincial president Tanveer Husssian.
While addressing the gathering, Tanveer Hussain appealed Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to issue necessary orders at the earliest for regularization of casual labours.
Udhampur district president of All J&K PHE ITI Trained and CP workers Association, Tilak Raj alleged that despite assurance given by Finance Minister and PHE Minister for regularization of casual labours, the Government has not taken any action in this regard. He said that several casual labours and others were serving the department from last more than 15 to 20 years and they are still in hope of their regularization.
Tilak Raj also threatened suspension of work by the workers if no immediate action is taken for their regularization. He appealed all the workers of the department to remain united and join purposed protest program of the association.
Others, who addressed the protest rally, included Deepak Gupta, Subash Chander, Tilak Raj, Manjeet Singh, Arun Singh, Jeevan Singh, Bhanu Partap, Abhey Ram, Ajay Kumar, Bushan Lal, Sanjay Kumar, Mahaveer Singh, Raj Kumar, Rajesh Sharma and Vijay Kumar.
