PHD organizes one-day seminar

JAMMU, July 12: Progress Harmony Development (PHD) Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized a one-day seminar on the theme ‘Progressive Jammu Today and Tomorrow-The Way Forward’ at Hotel Asia, here today.
The seminar was held in collaboration with the Offices of Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Shantmanu and Director Tourism Jammu Division, Soujanya Sharma.
The objective of the seminar was to help streamline and boost growth of various associated industries, particularly in the sector of tourism and to create pathway to encourage improved tourism infrastructure of the region.
The seminar witnessed the participation of J&K Bank as well as IIFCO-TOKIO General Insurance Company, which firmly stood to provide support to the stakeholders and service providers of the sector.
The topics of discussion revolved around infrastructure up-gradation issues, administrative policy making initiatives, supportive financing by bankers, safety and security insurance and their benefits and outlook of Government agencies for smooth facilitation and the betterment of the region.
PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Jammu Chapter invited potential investors and large business houses from Northern Region of India to actively participate and augment their business plans by creating affordable and smooth tourism infrastructure.
The outcome of this unique seminar saw the fusion of various stakeholders and their issues of major concern. It generated serious food for thought as to how the region of Jammu can rapidly improve its overall infrastructure and attract tourism revenue in larger numbers.
