Pharmacist among 6 arrested with heroin, intoxicant capsules, tablets

JAMMU, July 28: Police arrested six drug peddlers including a pharmacist along with heroin, intoxicant capsules and tablets.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Digiana Police Post apprehended three persons along with 6 grams of heroin from Rani Talab area.
The arrested persons have been identified as Vishal Singh, son of Dhanater Singh of Preet Nagar, Digiana, Sadan Hussain, son of Ali Mohammad of Bhadarwah and Gagan Singh, son of Faqir Singh of Preet Nagar Digiana.
A case under FIR Number 200/19 under section 8/21/22/27-A/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar and investigation initiated.
Meanwhile, a team from Bakshi Nagar Police Station led by ASI Bhola Nath during checking at Maheshpura Chowk apprehended a drug peddler along with 110 intoxicant tablets and 2 capsules.
The accused has been identified as Nihal Lokatra, son of Ramesh Lokatra of PNT Colony, Bakshi Nagar.
A case under FIR Number 129/19 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Bakshi Nagar and investigation started.
In another similar incident, a team from RS Pura Police Station led by ASI Satpal Sharma while on patrolling duty near Bagga Marh Morh apprehended two persons along with 700 intoxicant tablets.
The arrested persons have been identified as Arvind Kumar, son of Bihar Lal and Parveen Kumar, son of Darshan Lal, both residents of Village Bagga Marh. Parveen Kumar is running a Pharmacy titled as ‘Pushpa Chemist Hall’ at Main Road Bagga Marh.
A case under FIR Number 139/19 under section 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station RS Pura and investigation initiated.
