JAMMU, Jan 19: Dr. Sadia Tabassum, Wasim Aftab, Mujeeb, and several other prominent social figures from the Bhatindi area joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) along with dozens of their supporters at the BJP Headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, here, today.
The new entrants were formally welcomed into the party fold by J&K BJP general secretary, Baldev Singh Billawaria, in the presence of BJP Media in charge, Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, VDG Cell co-convenor, Ramesh Katoch, senior leader Haroon Choudhary, and other party functionaries. The joining was facilitated by Haroon Choudhary.
Addressing the gathering, Baldev Singh Billawaria said that the joining of Dr. Sadia Tabassum and her associates reflects the people’s rising faith in the BJP’s policies and leadership. He stated that BJP has emerged as the only political force that stands firmly for nationalism, development, social justice, and inclusive governance.
Billawaria said that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed unprecedented development, improved security, and transparent governance, which has exposed the hollow promises and divisive politics of opposition parties. He added that people from all regions and communities are voluntarily aligning with BJP because they see it as a party that delivers on its commitments and works for the dignity and empowerment of every citizen.
Dr. Pardeep Mahotra stated that BJP’s ideology is rooted in nation-first thinking, institutional reforms, and long-term socio-economic transformation. He said that the steady inflow of educated professionals, youth, and social activists into BJP is not incidental but a conscious choice against dynastic, opportunistic, and protest-driven politics. He emphasized that BJP offers a constructive political platform where ideas, integrity, and service to society are valued, making it the natural choice for those who want stability and progress in Jammu and Kashmir.
Haroon Choudhary briefly welcomed the new members and expressed confidence that their joining would further strengthen BJP’s presence in Bhatindi and adjoining areas.
Dr. Sadia Tabassum said she was impressed by BJP’s development-oriented agenda and expressed her commitment to work for the welfare of the people under the party’s banner.
