Information revealed that four families along with the locals staged protest and closed Jammu-Poonch highway at Potha in Surankote. Talking to the media, family members said that their houses have been damaged due to landslide and this all happened due to widening and cutting of the road. “We urged BRO at that time that we have suffered loss in past and now our houses are being damaged, but they did not bother,” they added.
They further expressed anger over administration and BRO over not even visiting them to know their condition as they are out of their houses, on road and nobody bothered to help them. The protestors demanded justice and kept road closed for about two hours.
