KATHUA, Nov 11: MLA Kathua Rajiv Jasrotia today said that the people of Kathua have rejected the divisive politics and choose the fair and developmental politics of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Addressing a press conference here, today, he said that the developmental works are in progress in the State and people of Kathua also gave mandate to development and elected new faces in Municipal Councils and committees in Kathua district who follow the developmental agenda. He said that it is the first time when BJP got two third majority in Municipal Council Kathua and elected Naresh Sharma, a dedicated leader for the development of Kathua town.
Jasrotia along with newly elected Municipal Council Kathua president, Naresh Sharma , BJP district president, Prem Nath Dogra complimented the people of the district and administration for smooth completion of elections of Local bodies.
On the occasion newly elected president of MC Kathua, Naresh Sharma and vice president Rekha Kumari of Kathua Municipal Council and newly elected Chairman and vice Chairman of Municipal Committee Nagari, Lakhnapur were also present .
MLA, Rajiv Jasrotia has also appreciated the role of councillors of district Kathua to support the BJP’s slogan Sab Ka Sath Sab Ka Vikas. He said few days back some vested interest and opposition leaders created confusion and focused on divisive politics and tried to mislead the innocent people. But the active people have rejected the divisive politics at all and showed their confidence to developmental politics.
He also assured the people of Kathua that the Central Government is releasing liberal funding and these municipal committees will get high volume of funding which was withheld due to lack of constitution of Municipal committees. He also said that the proposal are in pipe line for the upliftment of Kathua . He said the project of amusement park, development of canal road in parks, multi shopping complex and parking for Kathua city, sewage system, new DC Office complex building project and some other important projects are taken up with support and financial assistance of Union Minister of State in PMO Dr Jitendra Singh. He said a master plan for upliftment and reconstruction of Kathua is also in proposal to execute in coming days.
Prem Nath Dogra, district president of party said that many projects were brought for Kathua district by Dr Jitendra Singh and they will prove game changer for the district. He also complimented the MLA for taking keen interest in developmental process.
